Our Story
NiSi began with a thought that kept following me around at work: there has to be a better way to do this.
I was already building digital tools to make everyday work easier and reduce repetitive effort. The more I built, the more I wondered how many people were spending valuable time on work that could be done more efficiently.
Ashwin and I kept bouncing ideas around. He saw the potential beyond my own work and pushed me to turn it into something official, combining my instinct for systems and process design with his strength in people, relationships and finding the right customers.
Then my mother, artist Sushila Prakash, began planning the next edition of her art exhibition, Confluence. I had witnessed the enormous amount of coordination and hands on administration involved in bringing the previous exhibition together. This time, we saw an opportunity to rethink the process, not simply digitise it, but make it easier to manage from beginning to end.
There was one important requirement: the technology had to feel effortless.
The people using it weren't looking for complicated new tools. Everything had to be intuitive, approachable and easy to manage with confidence. That experience became the first real proof of what NiSi could do.
